The coveted seal is awarded exclusively to companies that can demonstrate systematic research and development in accordance with the Research Allowance Act – and is regarded as official recognition of excellent competence in product development.

The pioneering development work on the NECCST Coffee Grinder Series 1 was particularly recognized, with Eckstein Design conceiving a technologically novel grinding and adjustment unit.
