Giving technical products a brand identity
An intuitive operating philosophy with brand-typical, high-quality visual design characterises Leuze products today - safe technology meets precise design. Whether measuring sensors, barcode positioning systems or safety light curtains, all application systems have a uniform device logic.
Leuze is an international sensor expert in automation technology. The company’s motto “The Sensor People” makes its claim clear. A uniform corporate industrial design had to be developed with the aim of improving value and usability, modernising the appearance and making the user guidance more uniform. The target group was highly specialised experts such as technicians, application engineers and plant engineers.
Eckstein Design developed a product language that represents Leuze’s high-quality and high-performance devices, conveying a solid impression of quality. This increases the value impression of the products and, thanks to the sophisticated design, users can perform their specific tasks more effectively and efficiently. All this also pays off for the brand as a whole.

Design development Consistent on all levels: Eckstein Design started with on-site analysis. Beginning with agile design development as well as analyses of the various product lines, we worked with the client in concept workshops on all levels and developed a consistent strategy.
We then moved on to the design thinking process and design studies. With all stakeholders, in particular the management of Leuze, we intensively exchanged ideas to achieve the best possible result.
